I am getting the follow errors when trying to watch or record from TVE Local Channel, ABC/FOX. Also issues with ID, Science, Life, Discovery and others.

Actually seems to be an issue on several channels including the likes of ID.

At first glance those errors make me think their streams are having issues. Does it work on their website?

I’d agree with that if was the same company having issues buts it’s various networks and companies the streams for the likes of ID, Science all work fine directly on Philo but not via TV Everywhere plus Fox/ABC both are not working properly via TVE.

ID and Science are both Discovery networks, and their streams share the same infrastructure. And Philo sources its feeds from a different source than the website feed that Channels gets.

It looks like there was a problem with their CDN or your network connection. It tried to download the segment multiple times and hit the timeout after 8 seconds (2x the segment duration) each time.

For background: our timeout is set to a small multiple of the duration because if we are unable to download segments in realtime, you won't be able to watch live.

The important bits: It was trying to download a 4 second segment that was 2.5mb, and could not download it in 8 seconds. It looks like it was downloading data the whole time, just slowly.

Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate it. I've tested my connection I don't appear to be having any issues at this time. Plus some TVE are working well with no issues. I'd say it's probably something with their CDN and probably will work itself out. As of right now Science Channel appears to be working okay again. We'll see. I even updated to the pre-release just in case.

Totally understand but those channels are just examples of issues. Along with the ABC/FOX issue which you seemed to skip over. Thanks though.

From what I can tell everything appears to be back to normal.
