This morning, I can't tune any TVE channels - I upgraded to the latest release and it still didn't work - when I came back to my PC, on the Channels web page there was a pop up to enter 2 factor authentication, however, I've been using my 2nd Google account that doesn't have 2FA turned on - is anyone else experiencing this?
Switched over to YTTV 2 days ago and am able to access TVE. One odd item for me however, my second Gmail with no 2FA (family associated account) wouldn't validate and on the off chance, I tried my primary Google account (that does have 2FA) and it actually accepted that account.
I may have done something similar - I am not sure what happened but since I don't have 2FA set up for my account used by Channels for YTTV authentication, I entered the 2FA code for my primary google account and now TVE channels are working - I'm not sure if entering that code really did anything, or maybe some time was needed for the software update to take effect but I have never seen that 2FA pop-up message before - in the meantime, I started to add a few TVE channels into ADBTuner but have now taken those back out...
I did the same thing. I have a custom channel list and have added backup channels (such as ESPN TVE = 30, ESPN ADB = 30.1). I set the TVE as the Favorite channel so that recordings default there first and then fall back to the ADB version if needed.
One hassle, to get to a complete custom channel list, I have to have a backend CDVR Server (aggregates all the sources), I export via Custom Channels M3U into Threadfin so I can modify the logos and channel number, and then pull them back into my frontend CDVR that is where all the clients connect with. I believe there's a solution available through OliveTin that allows you to do some or all of that within a single Channels environment, but I've not sat down and spent the time to try and learn how to use it.
