TVE - Discovery networks not tuning?

Did an individual scan on both TVE sources prior to diagnostics.

If you go to sciencechannel.com in incognito can you login?

No issues logging in with either provider

No issues previously on recent pre-releases with Philo, but now when individually scanning Science Channel, I'm getting "no login form found" just with Philo on v2021.08.14.0315.

No issues logging in with Philo in Incognito at sciencechannel.com though.

I'm still on 2021.08.12.1616. So far working. I'll wait on updating until the weekday so I don't mess up family's recordings scheduled this weekend.

Have noticed the new streams that are being used, I get more of the "commercial break in progress. Your live stream will resume shortly". Food Network got this quite a bit, but after the stream changes, all the discovery network channels seem to do it. Does affect the commercial detection, so not as useful now. Also trying to watch the show while commercial detection is running, forwarding through the recording seems to get stuck in a loop on the commercial break in progress part of the programing. I asked my family and they stated it's been buggy like that for some time. I only noticed as it affected one of the recordings I watch now. For Philo, the former stream URL that was used worked well as I never ran into the streaming limits timeout issue cable TVE users have noted.

Interesting: I just successfully re-scanned Science channel on Philo, still on the same version (2021.08.14.0315).

Still not working for me on DirecTV. Getting Tuner Unreachable. Upgraded to 2021.08.14.1916 and now Science Channel is gone. Rescanned new channels and nothing. Discovery still not working.

I was able to watch live from https://go.discovery.com/watch/discovery using my DirecTV credentials. I’m doing a full channel scan now and these Discovery owned channels are taking a long time.

Scan finally complete. All channels between 6101 and 6114 have error “ context deadline exceeded”.

Still not working with pre release 2021.08.14.1916 downloaded this morning. Getting “ context deadline exceeded” when rescanning those channels.

Pretty sure channels is now using "sciencechannel.com" as the TVE authenication for all Discovery channels. Best to try watching from there using your Direct-TV credentials see what happens.

Works perfectly fine through the browser using https://www.sciencechannel.com/

Your chrome version is out of date as shown on the Troubleshooting page.

Ok I’ve got that problem fix and all but the Science Channel works. I’m getting “ no login form found" when I rescan. I am able to watch it through my browser though.

And even with older versions the last week or so that I have been watching or recording anything on Discovery networks, have not had any issues....other than what has been a quirk of those channels since forever, where the sometimes the commercial breaks cause the dvr to stop, and the buffer to continue, and have to back out and relaunch the stream. or , the hold screen "commercial break in progress" thing randomly stays up to long, or the "not available for streaming" hold screen radomly comes up for 5 secs then goes away.

Here’s my latest log. Still can’t get Science Channel working. Rebooted my Synology and rescanned all channels. Not sure why it keeps showing "no login form found" Science Channel is one of my favorite channels to watch.

Is there anything on the Synology I can do to fix this or troubleshoot? The Synology doesn’t have a browser to test within it. Maybe uninstall and reinstall Channels on it? If I do this is there a way to keep my scheduled recordings in tact?

I'm getting Science with it on a Synology. Was in a docker container and I just migrated it to the Channels Synology package for DSM 7.0 today.

Yes I am using 2021.08.15.1846 and the latest DSM 7. Science Channel is the only one I’m having problems with at this moment.

Hello, just updated to pre-release 2021.08.15.1846. All appear to be working(Philo). Quick viewing of channels I'm seeing normal commercials playing(as expected since you went back to the original streams), except for Science Channel(not changed from previous pre-releases) as expected. I'll note anything as the family watches. I asked them to let me know if they notice anything.

I'm sure you'll be happy to hear you're not alone.
Even though I got Science to authenticate and scan yesterday, today it won't stream.
This repeats 8 times everytime I try to watch Science.

Trying to rescan the channel reults in error context canceled.
Second rescan results in same error.
Third rescan results in "no login form found".
