Has anyone had any luck getting Hulu Live to work with TVE? I was getting authentication errors with FOOD and HGTV and made the mistake of removing Hulu LIve and now I cannot add it back. I've already run the Channels DVR troubleshooting to ensure I'm running the latest version of Chrome.
See screenshot with login password error. I can log into Hulu with no issues from a browser, but not via Channels DVR TVE.
That was a really bad idea.
When I had Hulu and would get the password issue, I would change my Hulu password on their site and then immediately scan in channels. That usually worked but I never deleted the source. Have you tried the above?
Are you using windows, Linux, or NAS for your server?
You can also try to restore from a backup that you had before you deleted Hulu.
Best thing to do is dump Hulu live and go to YTTV. Besides actually working with TVE, if you ever end up doing adbtuner with an HDMI encoder you will be thankful. hulu live quality is horrible. YTTV is about 10000% better.
Thanks. I tried changing my Hulu password and then adding back Hulu on TVE and it's still giving me the password error. I'm running Channels DVR on a QNAP NAS which is running linux qts.
Please let me know if you have any other suggestions.

I've never been able to get the TVE to allow me to log into YTTV. I just tried again and I'm getting the following error.
Create a seperate gmail account and then in YTTV add it as a family account with no 2fa. Should work then unless you are running the channels dvr docker container.
That works with YTTV for me on a Synology NAS.
So does the Synology package install and bnhf's build your own CDVR TVE docker container image.

Now that I'm up and running with YTTV, I'm thinking of also incorporating adbtuner into my setup. Any recommendations on a HDMI encoder? How's URayCoder 4K HDMI Encoder. Will the Channels DVR handle 4K or should I just get the URayCoder HD Version. Or do you recommend something else? Thanks again for your help!
A lot of us have the linkpi + ONN devices, it works great. I wouldnt mess with 4k honestly but thats just my opinion.
My turn to be hit with Hulu login issues:
2025/09/09 12:23:17.545955 [ERR] Failed to start stream for ch6001: TVE: Wrong password. Please update your password and try again.
I updated the password and then tried to rescan:
2025/09/09 12:37:26.139605 [TVE] Channel scan ABC failed: Cable provider authentication failed
Then I noticed that I had several emails from Hulu with a code to enter manually in order to login.
So I guess there is no possible solution for this issue?
