all TVE locals right now are literally unwatchable due to buffering issues. only seems to be happening with TVE, other sources seem fine.
ran an update to the latest pre-release and the problem persists. any ideas?
No issues here with any TVE local channels.
the weird thing here is that it's literally all four TVE locals that are buffering like crazy, but no issues at all with anything else that i've noticed.
actually i take that back, tbs seems to be buffering too, but as badly. maybe it's a TVE issue in general and not just the locals.
edit: doesn't seem to be an internet issue. i can log into abc.com/live and watch abc 7 with no issues. no buffering whatsoever.
Not sure. This morning CNN and MSNBC were buffering for me but only lasted about an hour.
updating the app on my cc hasn't helped either.
I think you may be alone, or a network issue related to your carrier/area. There are no issues with TVE streams here (SoCal/IE here with Spectrum internet.)
like i said, i can watch from the web with no issues. that seems to rule out an internet issue.
i restarted my CC and it seems a bit better so far, we'll see. i'm headed out for a run but i'll check it again when i get back.
although it's a little better, i'm still having issues. this is very frustrating, there clearly is not an issue with my internet...but i have no clue what is all of a sudden causing all of this buffering.
What kind of internet speeds?
Could be their site or apps are using adaptive bitrate whereas Channels only tries to download the highest quality.
500/500 fios. no issues noted on speedtests either wifi or wired (the channels server is wired).
this is where i'm at on my old macbook pro (which is roughly where i normally sit on this old machine on wifi):
now it seems to be terrible on my channels VM, but i have no idea why.
even still, i'm getting 40mbps down on the channels VM...trying to figure out why that seems to be throttled.
