Since TVE recordings are delayed a minute (start/end 1 minute late), how hard would it be to add an option for 2 minutes of end padding?
If they started/ended on time the existing 30 seconds or 1 minute end padding would work fine.
Don't want to default to 3 minutes end padding as that's overkill and causes two TVE streams to be open during a back-back channel recording overlap.
Only a single connection is used for back-to-back recordings, regardless of the source type (HDHR tuner, TVE, Locast).
OK, I will find out tomorrow. Have 6 back-back recordings scheduled on same TVE channel diy network.
May have changed, but I could swear TVE recording don't share a "tuner channel" like an HDHR although it's been awhile since I recorded TVE.
I also experienced late start times where it may take over a minute to authenticate a TVE channel and start the recorded stream, so I default to 10 seconds pre-pad (which in reality is 1 minute and 10 secs).
I set up a sacrificial recording immediately before the series starts tomorrow in case it takes too long to authenticate and start recording.
Channels DVR did "tuner sharing" by using the same TVE stream for my back-back recordings on TVE channel diy network.
