TVE 'unlimited' streams?

Hi all, this isn't directly a channels question but rather a TVE question.

I'm running 2 service, Spectrum TV (not in TVE right now) and Youtube TV (primary TVE source).

At first, I just assumed my 3 concurrent streams on youtube TV would be my limit, but then I read that TVE is pulling directly from the providers instead of proxy through youtube tv (or spectrum etc).

So I tested. Sure enough, I can do a dozen different shows concurrently through channels via TVE auth'ing with my youtube credentials.

Is this a 'bug' or a feature? Can I really continuously pull a dozen or whatever streams via TVE because it's hitting each individual service basically P2P ?

Yes.

till you run out of bandwidth, write speed, CPU or other resource

ok, well that's a surprise. Almost seems like a loophole

It is not a loophole you are logging on to different sites not the same site.

Indeed, having used TiVos for decades, and always being mindful of how many tuners each unit had available... this equivalence of "unlimited tuners" is kind of a game-changer. I feel like more people should know about it! But not too many people, you know? Lest it get too popular and irk the network bigwigs and/or other live streaming providers for some reason... who decide to clamp down and DRM it all, in a way that breaks Channels DVR's "beta" of TVE integration.

Like, is all of this too good to be true? I dunno. Just enjoying it while it lasts, I suppose.

At the rate people are dropping cable TV, the smart cable TV providers are not going to do anything that upsets customers. Just push back and they fold.
