I apologize if this was already covered in a different thread. I do realize that there are other threads about authentication issues with Comcast/Xfinity, but I didn't see my specific questions answered there. I have previously had TVE enabled and it worked fine, but I disabled it because I didn't want to see that in my guide. I now would like to experiment with it again, but can't seem to get it to work. A couple questions:

Is it necessary to be running the beta version of the software in order for TVE to work? I have run the beta version before, but can't recall if that timeframe lined up with when I configured TVE.

Is it necessary to have IPTV enabled on my router? I'm using a TP Link router that has an option not enabled by default for IPTV. I know I didn't have this enabled when it worked previously which makes me think it shouldn't be a requirement, but I assume that TVE would be considered IPTV. I could be wrong there.
A couple things to point out. I did already disable multifactor authentication on my Xfinity account. I have tried with both the standard comcast servers for DNS as well as Google DNS which I currently have configured. I have also tried with both my username (not email, which I see is recommended) as well as the full email address and password which works when I log in on their website manually. Both just sit at authenticating and never finish. I've let it run for 24 hours and it doesn't fail, just never succeeds and I have to restart the server to stop it from trying.
