TVos tuner not found

I’ve several ATVs & iPads - since updating to the latest Homerun HD firmware/software, one of the ATVs can no longer detect the tuner (all others, ATVs and devices work fine). I’ve rebooted everything, several times, and tried adding the IP manually, uninstalled/reinstalled the Channels app, etc…nothing resolves the issue for that one ATV…defaults to “no tuner available” each attempt.

This happens if the network connection at the ATV is not stable. If you’re on Wi-Fi, try switching to a 5ghz network.

It’s not the network, it’s a wired connection, all other apps work fine. Though to be sure, I’ve rebooted everything (several times).

Does the free app InstaTV find the hdhomerun on the same Apple TV?

It doesn’t see it. Strange that other ATVs (all same wired network) can but this one can’t.

The only thing that’s changed since it worked is the firmware upgrade (HRHD device).

are they on the same switch? On a router? Any updates to either?

Also, try a different port. Some switches have broadcast/flood protection that will disable or isolate a port if certain conditions are met.

Some routers have an option to select a port for “internet only” or “guest mode” which will isolate the device from the internal network but still allow access to the internet.

Sine routers have multiple WAN ports. Your ISP may be one of those that allow multiple IPs for a user (most only allow 1 dchp based address. Some allow up to 3 based on the plan). If you are connected to the WAN port all internet apps would work but anything that needs access to an internal device like the DVR or the Tuner would not work.
