Two sources - duplicate channel number

I'm sure there has been discussions on this, however, I could not locate an answer. I have both Directv and Spectrum. Both sources have assigned channel numbers starting with 6000.

The problem I am having is some channels are available on only one of the sources, but is listed on both. When I set my DVR to record a program on a channel, it gets skipped because that channel is available from Directv, but not Spectrum. The DRV does not revert to Directv when not available on Spectrum which is what I thought it would do. I have removed the channel on Spectrum, but that didn't seem to help.

I have Directv listed as first on the priority list, but the DVR keeps trying to record from the Spectrum source even though the specific channel is not in my Spectrum package.

What can I do to correct this? Move Spectrum further down in the source list? Some way to change the channel numbers on one of the sources so they are not the same on both sources.

Any help or reference to a previous discussion would be appreciated.

That's not how the DVR works. It will try each source until it finds that channel number.

If recordings are being missed then something else is going on and you need to check the logs and provide details about what exactly is happening.

What makes you think its trying to record from Spectrum?

If I go to the schedule on my TV, it will show the skipped programs with a red exclamation mark. If I click an individual skipped program, it will show an error message, "Could not start stream on channels=(6024): TVE not A(cuts off rest of word) program is not included in your Spectrum TV subscription." Then tells me how to add that channel.

It is Logo and channel number 6024 is assigned that channel on both Directv and Spectrum. Logo shows up on the Spectrum list even though it says it is not part of my package. I have disabled it in the channels list, but didn't fix the problem.

Will & Grace is the program I am trying to record. I have submitted my log:

You can click the gear icon next to Spectrum, select Rescan, then find those channels and click Rescan next to them. It should remove the checkmark and then it won't try to use Spectrum for that channel in the future.

After disabling the channel I've found you need to reload the guide data.

Guide Database > Maintenance :gear: Delete and Recreate Database

Guide refresh doesn't matter for multiple TVE sources.

Please try what I told you earlier to rescan that channel and ensure it doesn't have a checkbox on the right under Rescan
