Yet another puzzle. The HDHR+antenna I am pointing towards Denver picks up a repeater in
Windsor, so I get ABC 7 Denver from both RF 7 in Denver and RF 26 in Windsor. When I try to load up
7.1, it tunes RF 7 and can't even lock on generally, but the RF 26 signal is much better. Can I prefer how that channel gets tuned?
That does not seem right - the HD Homerun protocol seems to indicate that you
set a device/tuner duple to an RF frequency first before starting a stream:

That's only accurate for really old HDHomeRun units.
I have two HD Homerun Duals, HDHR3-US. They weren't recognized by the latest HD Homerun software.
You want to exclude 7.1 from being noticed in Channels.
Go to:
Settings -> Sources -> HD HomeRun -> Manage -> Manage Lineup
Scroll down to 7.1
Click on the circle with the line through it until it turns red.
Do the same for any other 7.? channels below it.
Now scroll down to the section "SD Channels"
Do the same as above with any 7.? channels you see.
Hmmm, TV_Ken, this seems to have gotten in the region. I didn't want to disable 7.1, but I fiddled with it and now have 7.1 associated with KCDODT8 (ABC), which sounds like exactly what I want. But playing 7.1 still just hangs. I wish they did it like NBC does in this market - the 9.1 on VHF shows up as 9.4 on a UHF channel, so it's not ambiguous.
I guess this might be something I have to live with until I get my Televes. I get Denver 7 via TVE and can get ABC from Wyoming as well.
I wonder if there is a way to tell Channels DVR to forget it saw RF 7?
could u potentially disable it on the hdhomerun, then re-add the tuner from Channels admin page?
With hdhomerun DUAL the options are limited.
On newer models the firmware does channel scan and should pick the stronger signal.
You can only expect to get so far on a 15 year old device.
