Ubuntu Install error

I’m really new to this. I tried to install but i got this error.

pc-one@pcone-HP-Compaq-6005-Pro-SFF-PC:~$ curl -f -s https://getchannels.com/dvr/setup.sh | sh
Downloading Channels DVR 2017.01.14.0019 (linux-i686) to /home/pc-one/channels-dvr
ERROR: Installation of Channels DVR failed.
ERROR: Please contact [email protected] with the full output above.

Do you know what kind of CPU is in that machine? Can you run “cat /proc/cpuinfo” and post the output?

The issue is that you are using a 32-bit Linux but Channels DVR only works on 64-bit

Here it is:

pc-one@pcone-HP-Compaq-6005-Pro-SFF-PC:~$ cat /proc/cpuinfo

What kind of Linux did you install?

That CPU is a 64-bit CPU so I recommend you use a 64-bit version of Linux.

Originally I installed the latest version of Ubuntu from their website. Now, I’m using Linux Mint Cinnamon 64-bit OS and the Channels software is working perfectly. Thank you I’m really enjoying my new DVR!!!
