UK - Freeview - Storage Requirements

Hi all,

Apologies if this has been discussed but I can't seem to find the answer. I'm in the UK and planning on getting a NAS for Channels DVR but I can't find how large the recordings are for Freeview / FreeviewHD. Can anyone tell me roughly what the GB/hour are or vice versa?

Hi

I am also in the UK and on my system, 1 hour (with a few mins padding either end) program recorded off a freeview HD channel takes about 2.5GB of disk space. An hour of standard definition is < 1GB.

Hope that helps. I have been using Channels DVR for years now; it's rock solid and I love it, so I think you'll find you've made a great choice.
