Unable to access server settings

I am no longer able to access Channel Server settings from my PC.
I am using Chrome on Windows 10. I entered the address to the Channels server: 192.168.50.195:8089 and I got the message:

I'm able to reach other devices like the HDHR tuners and RPi on the same network, but cannot seem to get to the Channels Server running on the Nvidia Shield.

I tried various things like checking proxy settings and clearing DNS Cache etc. with no success.

I realize this may not be a Channels problem but I'm hoping someone else has encountered this problem and was able to solve it.

Silly question time: Are you sure Channels is still running?

Edit: Is your Shield using a fixed IP, and if not did the address change?

A valid question. I did check to make sure the server was running. In fact I restarted the server and tried accessing it.

My Shield is using a fixed IP address.

The problem is resolved.

@mhamdingo was on the right track.

I did have a fixed address assignment to the Shield but for the wrong hardware address. The Shield shows two hardware addresses in the format of a MAC address. It calls one the "Internet address", the other the "MAC address". I happened to assign the fixed address to the "Internet address". At some point the router assigned a new DHCP address to the Shield when it didn't find the Shield's "MAC address" on the list of fixed assignments.

Why the Shield has two hardware addresses, I don't know.

Glad to hear you figured it out. The 2 MAC addresses could be ethernet & wifi depending on your Shield model. I've lost track of the number of times I've assigned DHCP addresses to the wrong interface.

If the two addresses are for wifi and ethernet, I should not have had an issue because my Shield is connected to ethernet via cable not wifi and that was the address I originally assigned a fixed address to.

In any case, thanks @mhamdingo for the idea to check the IP address.
