I don't have an active YTTV account, but have set it up for a friend. Google search should help, but here's a quick and dirty:
- Setup a second google account, and disable 2FA for that specific account.
-
Link the second account as a family member
- Use the secondary account to try and login to TVE.
However, you still may have issues that the embedded Chrome Version in your NAS is outdated (Google does update requirements from time to time). Since you are using a NAS (I do as well but use Fubo), you may have challenges you wouldn't have with a PC.
If you have a PC easily accessible, install Channels on it temporarily and see if you can connect to your temp server. If you can, then you know it's not an account issue but likely something in the Channels NAS Environment. If you are having issues still, it could be an account issue or it could be an updated requirement from streaming service isn't being met. And unfortunately, it's not a one size fits all, updates sometimes are rolled out and take time to make their way to everyone, or your certificates happened to expire and were due to be revalidated and you happen to be one of the first people to be hit by some new requirement. Hence the more details you can provide, the better.
And although the devs are super responsive, they are a small group maintaining this so bringing it here is a good supplemental step to see if your issue can be resolved by the community first before they start digging into things.
I'm not super tech savy, so others may have more constructive steps to take than what I outlined above.
And I used Fubo because I see frequent "hiccups" with YTTV and HULU and TVE, seems like those 2 in particular modify requirements more frequently than others. Just my .02 worth.
