Trying to watch DVR outside of home and suddenly unable to access (authorize). It has been working for over a year for me, but today it's giving unable to connect error. The web ui server setting page says Failed to map port using NATPMP if I attempt to use automatic setting. Howerver I have manually set-up my Orbi Router to port forward to the necessary port My guess is the port is blocked (or isn't listening), but I have zero clue on how to unblock/resolve this issue. Just looking at the list of connected devices on the router, the server device does't appear to have changed IP address. Any help is greatly appreciated. It's been working great and suddenly stopped and I can't seem to troubleshoot.
Says it's closed. How to fix?
^^
yep. Still shows as port closed
Give a little more details about your network.
IP address of channels server:
Internal IP address of router:
Is the IP address for the Channels server static or dynamic:
If dynamic is it reserved in your router via DHCP reservation?:
Have you set remote DVR to manual?:
send a screen shot of your firewall NAT rule:
Well the server is on a small Raspberry Pi so should be no firewall (NAT rule for it). Yes Remote DVR has been set to manual. Not sure o the static or dynamic address. Seems static as address has been the same for months when using it and that address is the same one that shows on my router for connected devices to what I have the router address for the port forwarding, it's exact same address.
Your router is where you confige the nat rule, not the pi
You also should reserve the ip address in dhcp so it wont change.
Provide details from my original reply for some help. Ip addresses and screenshots specifically.
