Hello. I’m still on version 8.2.3 on my Shield.
I am trying to move my server from one Shield to another. So I stopped the DVR on the old one, and plugged my hard drive on the new Shield.
So when I try to start the DVR engine for the first time, it hangs at “Downloading DVR engine”.
What should I do?

Maybe its not getting a good network connection. Can you try the speedtest app?
I see a have the beta version of Channels. I wanted to try with the regular version but I didn’t find how to do it. All I see in the play store is the beta
You have to click "Leave" on Sign in - Google Accounts
That's not going to help though.
I would say reboot the device, then click Download and let it sit there until it can finish
I rebooted and it sat there for about an hour. Should it take this long?

Are you using custom DNS or VPN or something?
No custom DNS and no VPN.
I'll try again tomorrow and I'll let it sit for a while
So, I just tried this morning using the regular version (not beta), and the DVR installed in less than 10 seconds...
