I am using the local IP address to access the Synology admin UI. I will try to reinstall again, but I have tried that a few times.

I have an older DS 216. Going to use my backup hard rive. A clean install should fix it. I will use this for DVR purposes on only

I would remove it completely and start from scratch. I have a DS918+ and DVR works flawlessly, from the start.

I have too much data already on the device. I may do that in the future.
