So I got the notification that my FIOS cable card is finally going to be shut off. I have been using Emby for years and now switching to CDVR since I can use the TVE. Unfortunately I cannot get the source registered in CDVR. I have gone through all the threads and tried just about everything and none of it is working. I did send in logs. Just wondering if anyone has any other ideas.
I have tried: installing the prerelease, changing fios password, logging into fios first, etc. Every time:
I hate to say this, but this is a Verizon issue. It took me a week of trying, like three times a day, and it finally worked.
Sure looks like it's not clicking on the banner Close button before entering your credentials.
What prerelease version are you running?
Have you run Support > Troubleshooting and get all green checkmarks?
yes, i submitted all the logs. As for the banner in the screenshot, none of the fields in there are active. you can't type anything, can't click anything
Before you kill yourself trying: you know that you will be able to only get a small subset of channels via TVE?
I got the same cable card notice. I’ll switch to OTA for the local channels. Everything else is streaming anyway.
Got to figure out what I’ll do about the land line. Then I’ll switch to data only.
Any chance that your Verizon account is not a standard account? If you look at the logs, is the server contacting the same server you can log into?
Are you using the latest Chrome when setting up the source?
Things will fail unpredictably if you use other browsers.
I don't know why it wouldnt be a standard account. I can log into FIOS with no issues and watch online. Yes, I have tried it with multiple browsers all of which are up to date
