Not sure if this is a Safari issue or a Mac 10.13 issue but I can’t get a live channel in Safari after installing Mac 10.13 beta on my iMac. The screen shows transcoding but the live channel never loads.
I AM able to get a live channel using Google Chrome and Firefox.
I am seeing the same issue on my one Mac that is running High Sierra. The first time I tried I did get a message referring to an incompatible video format but I cannot repeat the behavior.
Sounds like a bug in High Sierra. Hopefully they fix it in upcoming betas.
Please try with the new public beta that was released today.
I gave it a single quick test and live tv played with no issues.

Did you say there was a recent update? I’m on version 2017.07.09.0116 and up to date as far as I can tell.

Yes, MacOS 10.13 (17A306f) installed. I still can’t get live TV to play. I’ll try restart again and let you know later.
Still have the same issue. Transcoder shows running but the screen only shows the program with the continuously spinning circle.
Live TV will work in Chrome.
I tried running on Firefox and receive this error on screen:
The media playback was aborted due to a corruption problem or because the media used features your browser did not support.
I did some more testing with this.
I successfully watched (briefly) 3 different HD shows on 3 different channels. Then I watched, also successfully, an SD show.
After that no shows would launch successfully; not even after restarting Safari.
