Unable to record live tv for some channels

When I watch live tv I'm able to record some channels, but not others. I've attached some images of a channel where I'm having an issue. When I select "Record" and then tap "Record" (i.e. not the "Record with Options") I get a dialog (see the photo), but there's no option to enable the recording itself. I can make the dialog go away by touching the purple arrow up top, but I don't see how I can enable the recording. This is a problem both on the phone and the Apple TV apps.

Some channels "just work" when I tap "Record". No dialog pops up and the recording is enabled without issue. Most others do what I've described above. Am I missing something basic in the user interface or is this a bug?

Click the "record with options" button after selecting your options on the second screen.

Ah - ok. For some reason that didn't seem obvious to the family (and me). We just figured that second dialog with the "Record with Options" at the bottom would bring up additional options for recording. After all, we first selected "Record" and not "Record with Options".

Backing up a bit...I was kind of expecting that when I tapped "Record" (as opposed to "Record with Options") to immediately start the recording. It looks like I get virtually the same dialog if I tap "Record" or "Record with Options". The only difference is that I see the logo graphic for the show. Is this expected?

Compare this to my original post above. Original post shows when I tap "Record" and this one when I tap "Record with Options".

Live sports always show the options screen so you can add padding in case they run over time.
