Unable to see 2.1.40 in TV App Store?

I see that Channels 2.1.40 came out on September 27th for TVOS… Mine is stuck (on 3 AppleTV’s) at 2.1.39 and I cannot see the upgrade at all. Sometimes if I delete and re-install Channels the TV App store will SAY the version is 2.1.40, but it is still downloading 2.1.39

Anyone else having trouble getting to 2.1.30 on the AppleTV Gen 4 devices?

That’s strange. Did you try restarting the App Store app?

Affirmative. Restarted the App Store (via a swipe-up force quit) and tried restarting the entire device – on 3 separate Apple TV’s. Same result where the App Store SOMETIMES lists .40 as the latest, but never gives me an “update” option and even a fresh download (after deleting the Channels App) only gets .39

Obviously 100% on Apple’s End if you didn’t pull that version from the App Store or anything like that.

Huh, I’m only seeing 2.1.39 as well…

I see .40 in the App Store now, and my devices automatically updated as they should!

Unfortunately it looks like I am still having an issue with the DUAL and the NO TUNER AVAILABLE message.

Notes:
1.) On my DVR the EXTEND is tuner priority #1 and the DUAL is priority #2
2.) On my AppleTV’s the opposite is true (I want them to use the DUAL for live steaming so it is priority #1
3.) I can now successfully start a show on an AppleTV and it uses the DUAL and the DVR backend shows the LIVE TV steam in use properly.
4.) If I open the same channel on another AppleTV the DUAL will blink the 2nd tuner LED for a while, then it will turn off, but both AppleTV’s will work for that shared channel
5.) If I switch one of the AppleTV’s to a different channel (and at this point I have 3 tuners available) I unfortunately get the TUNER NOT AVAILABLE message… there’s the problem :frowning:

Any thoughts on that?

Can you replicate that scenario with the TestFlight app and then submit diagnostics?

It’s strange that you would see the second tuner light blink when tuning in the same channel on a second TV…

I only have the iOS TestFlight versions available. Is TVOS a separate invite?

@tmm1 Got it – thanks. Shall I update the HDHomeRun units to the latest firmware supplied in that TF build?

Nothing in the new firmware should affect this so you don’t have to unless you want.

TF Builds on TVOS and iOS and we have some improvements…

I can run 3 streams at once… 2 of them SHOULD be on the DUAL, but instead it looks like 2 of them are on the EXTEND. One of them is on the DUAL – but I cannot get the 4th stream to work; I get the “Tuner Not Available” when trying to utilize the 2nd tuner (last one available) on the Dual…

So… better! ¾ of the way to working I’d say!

Does the Log show any errors when you try to tune in to the fourth channel?

Yes, see screenshot...

Even when the situation above (all tuners in use) is listed in the logs, I still only have 1 LED our of the 2 illuminated on the HDHR Dual. Both channels are in use on the EXTEND

Hmm, I tested locally with my DUAL only and was able to watch two different channels at the same time via the DVR (both lights came on).

Can you try rebooting the DUAL maybe?

I did just reboot it when it did the firmware update… but I’ll try “rebooting the house” later on tonight (DVR Server, AppleTV’s, HDHR’s, etc) to see if that makes a difference
