Unexpectedly not playing previous recording

Server version: 2025.12.28.0239
iOS App version: 7.0.1

When selecting a film from the guide that I have already recorded, if I tap 'watch' rather than 'record', the iOS app starts playing the current live show on that channel rather than the previously recorded film.

For example:

Tapping on The Sound of Music:

Shows this screen:

I would expect tapping Watch button would start playing The Sound of Music. But it doesn't.

If it can find a match of that movie in your library it will ask if you want to watch from your library. Otherwise it does what you’re asking it to do, and plays the channel.

Depending on where you recorded it from, it may not match your gracenote IDs.

Submit diagnostics and we can look at how it appears in your library.

Thanks, but it knows there's a recording there - there's the green triangle with the book top right of the cover artwork. And if I find the film in my library it plays fine. I've tried this with several films and the same behaviour occurs. It seems this is unexpected behaviour to you too?

I would do what the developers ask

To recreate it I tried playing the Man in the Iron Mask (1998) which is due to start in about 2 hours:

This is what played when I pressed the Watch button:

This is what's playing currently on Channel 5 and is what was being played in the screenshot above:
