What is the proper procedure to uninstall the Channels DVR program from linux?

I believe there is an uninstall script in the channels dvr directory.

Yes, run:

./channels-dvr/uninstall.sh

I can only say. I ha to uninstall becase apparently 2 years later there is no way to launch configuraton in web browser that works

What do you mean by "launch configuration in web browser"? To access and configure your Channels DVR server, simply connect to it via HTTP at port 8089.

If you mean something else, could you explain what you mean, as it doesn't make much sense ...

Did you post to see if anybody could help you with the problem before uninstalling ?
