Up/Down buttons for 10 minute seek

I have an nVidia Shield. Within Channels, left/right seek 30/7 seconds. Up arrow and down arrow don't seem to do anything. Within Kodi, up/down seek 10 minutes by default, which is super handy for seeking into a long broadcast (like an NFL game or something).

My request is to be able to enable the up/down buttons seek 10 minutes (or a configurable amount of time) for recorded video playback. I'm aware that you can hold down left or right to seek through a video, but I find having a button for big steps is still quite useful.

Have you used the Channels add-on in Kodi? That way you can use the skip for/back 10 min, and Channels DVR.
