Is there any way to update the raspberry pi DNS address from the channels DVR server ui?

No, only via SSH

Thanks, any tips on how to do this, relatively new to Raspberry Pi and a bit stuck as the Channels DVR is running off an external hard drive not ssd. Not sure how to enable SSH

There is a checkbox on the dvr settings page to enable SSH
