Updated to the new firmware 2018.08.23.1635 over the weekend, and did a channel scan, as I know my cable provider has added new channels since my last scan. Upon seeing the results of the scan I am missing 2 channels I know existed before the new firmware and channel scan. If i re-initiate the scan one channel will sometimes show up, but will often vanish when I scan again to try and pick up the other. I have scanned for the missing channels in “Channels” “Plex” and “HdHomerun” platforms. Has anyone had this problem after updating?
Channel scans are managed by your hdhomerun. You can visit http://my.hdhomerun.com and run the scan there directly. The channels that are found are saved on your HDHR, and then all the various apps and DVRs read the channel lineup from there.
If the channels aren’t appearing there, then you need to contact either SD or your cable company.
The 2018.08.23.1635 version is a DVR update, and has no effect on your HDHR firmware or on how channel scans occur.
Thanks for the info, I have tried scanning there as well to no luck. I will contact them for support.
You can also check http://x.x.x.x/lineup.html?show=all and see if those channels appear crossed out. If so that means the cable card thinks you are not subscribed to those channels and your cableco needs to refresh the cablecard programming.
If the channels don’t appear at all it might mean you’re getting a bad signal off your coax.
