The last couple of updates I noticed that my client never stops during playback or watching live TV like it use to. Is update process not requiring a restart like before . Has something changed how updates are happening or is my system really not updating.
Not sure what you mean. The DVR won't update itself if someone is watching.
Or are you clicking "force restart"? If you're using a setting other than Original then the client will probably buffer ahead and retry/reconnect once the DVR is back up. This was added to make remote streaming more robust.
Yes I was forcing updates. And yes, before I would see the client stop current content playing.
