Upnp port forwarding unreliabke

I’ve been noticing for the past few weeks it feels like upnp is unreliable. I use Linksys Velop mesh router. It used to work 99% but seems unreliable now. Am I the only one?

UPnP has never been a great protocol. Your best bet is to:

  1. Disable UPnP (both in your router and within Channels)
  2. Ensure your IP is stable by setting up a DHCP reservation for your Channels server
  3. Set up a manual port forward (both within your router settings, as well as within Channels' settings)

Otherwise, inconsistencies will likely persist.
