I have an mp4 made from GoPro that VLC plays fine but Channels clients (firetv, ios, and webgui) play upside-down when playing from an imported folder.
I made a clip of the video that behaves the same way. Can the import/convert automagic be adjusted and/or a rotation button added somewhere?
When playing on the apps are you transcoding or playing at original quality?
Hmm, not really sure. It's all on the local network -- and I didnt change any of those kind of settings-- I suppose it plays raw? I don't see ffmpeg running when I'm streaming it.
Hmm, exiftool shows Rotation: 180 on all the confuzzled videos -- I guess that has to do with something going on. I wonder why VLC + websites like Dropbox+youtube don't flip it. And I wonder why the GoPro put that tag on there.
