Is there any motion to set the refresh interval from more than just daily?
I don't think they've been petitioned with anything they consider a worthwile justification.
Only reasons I can think of needing it are the playlist lineup or channel urls change frequently.
You could create a scheduled task to trigger a refresh of the playlist url.
I do this hourly for my Pluto source using the same API that Channels DVR uses when you manually refresh it.
curl -s -XPOST http://192.168.1.3:8189/providers/m3u/sources/Pluto/refresh
To get the curl command, open your browser developer tools network inspector and see what it sends when you refresh it manually by clicking ![]()
In my case it's POST http://192.168.1.3:8189/providers/m3u/sources/Pluto/refresh
Where are you entering the curl command?
Any device on your network that has the command line curl utility.
In my case it's the same Synology NAS that the Pluto docker container and Channels DVR runs on.
Synology task manager task runs every 1 hr starting at 00:04
Refresh playlist; Export last 1 hour docker logs; Sleep a minute; Refresh xml
curl -s -XPOST http://192.168.1.3:8189/providers/m3u/sources/Pluto/refresh
docker logs -t --since=1h pluto-for-channels 2>&1 | grep "Woke at:\|Grabbing EPG\|Skipping\|Last ran:\|Next run:\|Sleeping:\|can't rename" >>/volume1/arkives/plutocontainer.log
sleep 60
curl -s -XPUT http://192.168.1.3:8189/dvr/lineups/XMLTV-Pluto
