Usb Fat32

Hi my usb 128gb is still set to Fat32...could this be why my recordings are cutting off?...some work some don't..if I change the format should that fix the recordings?

Thanks
Rob

Probably. FAT32 limits files to 4GB in size, which is less than an hour of recording time for MPEG streams.

Unfortunately, you can't re-format the drive without losing the contents. You'll have to find a way to back-up the drive before you reformat it. But... If you have another drive that's big enough to back up this one to, then why not re-format that one to NTFS or ExFAT, move the recordings over, and then use the new drive in place of the old one?

Thanks for swift reply.
I wil just wipe the drive as normal during the switchover as I've only stated my journey on Channels DVR not much on it...
I will give it a go ..
Thanks again
Rob
