Use Network Name for Pass Channel?

Hey all, I searched the forum and couldn't find an answer for this. I've got HDHomeRun OTA and Prime tuners. The guide data is showing reruns of broadcast network shows as "new" on cable channels. For example, I have a pass for new episodes of NCIS. New episodes premier on CBS. But, the guide data has NCIS reruns tagged as "new" on the Paramount Network. I want my pass to only record NCIS episodes on CBS, and still have both the OTA and cable CBS channels utilized. One way would be to specify the network name for the channel in the pass config. Does that work? Or, would I have to go into the advanced options and specify the OTA and cable channel numbers for CBS?

Advanced pass with channel numbers is the only way that works right now.

Any chance this can be revisted? Given the proliferation of custom channel sources since this post, this ask has only become more beneficial. Maintaining a channel number pass (or lots of them) is a major PITA.

May not work for everyone, but what I do is set the minimum Season.
If I already have say Season 1-4, I set the pass to SeasonNumber > 4

This isn't what is being asked.

Ideally, for example, you could throw an advanced pass to any iteration of, say, ESPN, regardless of source.

Right now, you're forced to use channel numbers, which can change somewhat frequently.

Sounds like you're looking for something different than the OP.
