Is VH1 TVE source a dead stick at this point?
Never watch it, but it errors out on my YTTV TVE channel.
So does BET.
Both give same error message TVE: mtvn cAccessToken: mtvn regCode: missing reg_code.
Don't know where I put that reg_code
Ya know, I don't watch it very often either, but can you really go wrong with a Forrest Gump airing in the midst of the World chaos today?
I find this pretty funny, because I realized over the weekend that VH1 on TVE was dead. And by Googling that error code I found this thread. And the only reason I even looked at VH1 in the first place was due to the fact that Forrest Gump was playing.
Is this a known issue?

Don't know when they were fixed, but BET & VH1 channels are working for me now on v2026.05.26.1844
Did you get the channel back?
VH1 and BET don't show up in the list of available channels on my sources for YouTubeTV or Philo.
Too bad you can't rescan the individual channels like mine can
I don't do it, except as a last resort, because when it fails it removes the channel from your lineup.
I prefer to just keep trying to play the channel in the web UI player until it re-auths and works.
Sometime I'll try 3 times and if it still fails I play another channel and come back to it.
Yeah, that's unfortunate the software doesn't work well.
If the channels don't show in the rescan window, that's a bug.
It should show all possible TVE channels whether you sub to them or not.
What exactly is the "rescan window?" I try not to rescan whenever possible. The options currently available are to "manage lineup" and "rescan channels" best I can tell.
Rescan Channels

That worked, thanks. Any idea why that had to be something the user had to invoke manually?
So you got VH1 and BET back?
That would be a question for the Channels devs
Yes.
The channels devs are super useful - although probably not worth the time of day to contact them. Just to confirm, this is their forum?
It's the Channels User Forum, not a FancyBits support Forum.
It's users supporting users.
Ah, well I'm certainly thankful I didn't get that confused. Maybe one day we'll see a developer right here, in the forum that we fund.
