Playing a recording from last night, at a specific spot it jumps to near the end. If I exit to the menu and play againit hits the same spot and jumps the same.

Hm usually this means that part of the recording is missing. Check the DVR logs from when the recording was happening to see if it stopped and restarted.
Doh! It ran out of space. I guess it started recording after I finished watching the chiefs game and deleted that.
