Video playing in 4k on Apple TV but only 1080p on Shield

I have a 4K movie that is a native 4K resolution and is Playing at a scaled 4K resolution on an Apple TV / Sony Bravia 4K TV

That same video is showing a 1080p Scaled Resolution on a Nvidia Shield / Epson 4K projector. The resolution on both the Shield and Projector are set at 4K

It's a known bug. The video is playing in 4K, the rendered text of the overlay is 1080p.

This has been addressed and documented many times.
