Can you comment on my post #19? I feel like I got lucky using the Channels App to add the folder to my Library Collection, when it would have been much more obvious, if there was an option to create a Library Collection from imported Video's on the Web, rather than just TV Shows and Movies.
That's why I asked how you did it.
The documentation doesn't say you can or how to.
Real world in my DVR web admin UI I cannot figure it out.
Video Groups show up as options when selecting content for TV Groups. Just scroll to the bottom.
This is probably sloppy. But it’s because in technical terms they’re mostly the same thing.
Thanks.
How obvious (not). Videos are TV Shows.
Now it works even though the documentation says it couldn't.
I lucked into this first off.
I had already made a Library Collection under TV Shows but IT WAS EMPTY because I didn't see the imported Video folder.
I then searched for one of the Songs in the Midnight Special folder on my Channels App (Apple TV). It popped up, and I clicked "more options". That got me to the main Midnight Special Directory. I clicked "more options" once again, and I had an option to add it to a Library Collection. I chose THE EMPTY Collection I had originally made but couldn't populate. Easy as that haha.
See my new post.
For sure!
It is working great. These songs on the Midnight Special are so good. Here is the link to the songs. They are a bit better quality than the DVD's especially if you consider the compression format. The file sizes are tiny!
@Channels2021 just so you’re aware. You can skip the collection part and just add the video group directly to your Virtual Channel.
Thanks. Once I changed to the correct file structure, everything worked as expected.
