I have created a virtual channel using a smart rule. The channel is populated with several movies, most being via strmlnk. When I view the virtual channel in the guide there is nothing populated in the channel. If I click on that channel using the Channels DVR iPhone App I get "Virtual Channel Error (80). What could be happening here?
Maybe I'm confused, but isn't a strmlnk a way to call out to another app to play content. Meaning, if the file isn't something Channels would play itself within the app, it isn't something that would be supported in a Virtual Channel, which Channels plays itself? (It's like asking for a Big Mac when you're at Burger King.)
That is what I wondered. I asked an AI if strmlnk was supported in a virtual channel and I got back a "YES". Perhaps the AI was incorrect.

(It seems every time someone posts a response with an answer they got from ChatGPT or similar, it is incorrect.)
