I had to laugh at the option for "What's a bumper"...but then saw 20% of the people select that option!

Would love to see a few more options:

  • Insert commercials: You point to a commercials folder and choose how many you want to play between episodes.

  • Pause when not watching

  • Schedule channels: You would be able to schedule channels to only play on the weekend. This would work great for those Saturday morning cartoons that have very few episodes.

Another use for this would be to say schedule movies for Show only channels on Saturday nights. Say like a channels where you play nothing but sitcoms.

  • Show bumpers going too and coming back from commericals. A lot of shows had these.

As of know this is how i use the old version of PseudoTv running Kodi 18.9.

What does the DVR stand for in "Channels DVR?"

I need to understand this before I vote.

Don't Vote, Really

No option for videos?
That is my use case exclusively for music videos on virtual channels.

Currently I only have one Virtual channel; Wild Kratts for the Grand kids. I'm so tired of Wild Kratts but at least it's educational.
I was hoping to pull them away from Amazon Prime (Amaron as the youngest calls it).

Great dynamic kids channel

Schedule recording > keep 100 > catagories > kids > channel pbs

Virtual channel to then play those recordings.

If its a pbs kids show odds are its educational. Keeps a rolling recording so your not watching same show over and over.

My pbs kids virtual channel is his favorite.

I’d love the ability to have random era correct commercials appear on my MASH virtual channel.

I have 2 MASH channels (with different starting points in the show) and my IPTV provider also has 2 (so 4 total) LOL

I'm pretty sure that's what bumpers are for.

I'm have some franchises channels (Rocky / Star Wars / Star Trek) but most of my movie channels are genre oriented for my favorites in those genres: Comedy, Thrillers, Sci-Fi, Horror, War, Mafia, etc. I also have channels dedicated to TV shows.

But my favorite use of virtual channels is for music. I have quite a collection of concert videos (bootleg and official releases) along with music documentaries. I have several artist related virtual channels that show content from just those artists which is mostly concerts, but also shows/docs that. I also have a "concert" channel for all artists that don't have a dedicated channel. I also have dedicated a "music doc" channel.

I also am a Pittsburgh Steelers fan, so I have a channel dedicated to them. This consists of game broadcasts, but also documentaries and TV shows about them. I may eventually split this into a games only channel vs documentaries/shows channel.

I only recently came across the bumpers, but plan to maybe add some of those in my music channels (i.e. for individual song music videos).

I have mixed channels too, like one called KTVU 2, KBHK 44, KTZO TV20, The Perfect 36.....They play the TV shows and movies that were played on those channels back in th late 70's and 80's (SanFrancisco-SanJose). Including the uncensored movies they played when I was a teen. Oh, and the tv show Bizarre (uncut) too!! I also have MV3- a new wave (Rock of the 80's ) music video channel - mostly music played by "THE QUAKE FM 99" KQAK radio station back then.

I have hundreds of seperate 70's and 80's commercials that get randomly played beteeen shows and movies, But not inside. It fine for me that way.

Would love this

I must say this server/app is the best thing since Sliced Bread
Please keep up the great work and thank you TMM2 and Maddox for the great support you provide.

Dont ever stop!! And Ill keep paying...

I think of Bumper music on talk radio. I hadn't considered the 15 notes after a commercial a bumper before, but it makes sense
