I have set up virtual channels. I’m not capturing my custom M3u channels. Does virtual channels have this capability or am I setting up wrong. I made sure it’s not excluded in setup.
Could you provide more detail on what exactly you're trying to accomplish?
I’ve setup a virtual channel for my library content and added that virtual channel to my collections. From there I then added automatic channels. For example I set up to add channels that are Western TV shows and movies. I excluded virtual channels only. It did a nice job adding western channels (ie Spectrum, HD Homerun Pluto etc….) It did not however add western channels from my custom M3u. I hope that helps explain it.
Ok, there's a lot of extra information in here. Lets define some things:
- Virtual Channels are channels you create using content from your library.
- Custom Channels are channels you add from external streaming sources
- Channel Collections are collections of channels you can group together.
I'm not sure why you're brining up Virtual Channels as it seems that your problem is that your Custom Channels are not showing up in your Channel Collection. They don't really have anything to do with each other.
As for your problem, what are the rules you set for the Automatic Channels in your Channels Collection? Are you even sure that airings from your Custom Channels are even matching the rules?
What leads you to believe there's an actual problem happening?
Based on your feedback I believe I didn’t quite understand the functions of these 3 features. Thank you for being so thorough.
