Vote up (like/follow) or vote down (dislike/unfollow) a recorded show or series

Is there anyway to do this currently?

If not, feel free to move this to DVR suggestions.

Scenario is you record something new (to you) and decide you don't like it.
Would prefer if that show was removed from the database as if it was never recorded so it's not used for recommended shows.

The four letter word DVR (TiVo) had something called :+1::+1::+1: and :-1::-1::-1: that used to work like that until it was bought by that other four letter word company (Rovi).

Alternatively is there a way to remove that show from the database as though it was never recorded?

Thinking about this it would be better to have an option like "Forget I recorded this show and let's start from scratch" and remove it from the database (as I'm not sure how the recommended shows, related to this show works). Because there may be other shows I like related to the one I didn't like, if that makes sense.

I'm assuming Channels DVR uses an open source database, so I could always investigate which one and remove entries myself if it comes to that.

I would be cool if Channels recorded shows like that... ie: just record stuff that I would probably like.

But it doesn't do that. It only records stuff that you select manually, or with passes that are manually created.

AGREE - Yep, just like comm skipping, only worse.

Just because I watched/recorded a special/show/series to see what it was about does not mean I LIKE it or everything else assiciated with it by whatever algorithm is used.

It's like a survey you get after doing something that asks a million questions and to rate it before you have time to figure out for yourself whether it was beneficial and even deserves an answer.

I know from experience that TiVo would recommend shows based on other TiVo users also watching the same thing you did and saying "They also watched this". Yah, that means what?

Not highly scientific or mind-reading what you want to watch, just close enough like comm skipping to market it?

I would prefer the ability to like/dislike in order to improve the odds it will get better, it's not AI, just dumb guesses now as far as I'm concerned.

(Unless the Internet and your iOT devices know you and your preferences)
