VPS as a tunnel to bypass CGNAT

I'm trying to do something a bit different than using Tailscale on my ChannelsDVR server.

What I have setup so far:

Ubuntu Server running in Oracle Cloud Free Tier with public IP
Wireguard VPN Server running
I setup a tunnel from my UDM Pro to Wireguard VPN server

What I want to do:

I would like to utilize the public IP of the VPS to tunnel my ChannelsDVR traffic. I'm wondering if since I have a public IP associated with the VPS, can I use that instead just by port forwarding the traffic to my subnet inside my LAN and still maintain the security set in place by Channels?

Because I have some Android clients that use my ChannelsDVR Server outside of my home, I don't want to have to turn on VPN every time I want to use Channels. I want them to just work as per usual, utilizing the VPN tunnel via the VPS public IP.

I hope that all makes sense. Let me know your thoughts.

Bumping this up. Hoping others can help me figure this out.
