Something really strange happened with my recording on FS1 from the Orioles game yesterday. The picture of the game was zoomed in on the upper left hand part of the screen the entire recording. Even odder is all the commercials were completely normal. I was on the latest prerelease.
Don't see anything unusual in the upper left of those two screenshots?
No that’s my whole screen. The screenshots are everything I see. I don’t get the rest of it until ads.

Looks like a 4K picture and your monitor is not big enough to play it back. The commercials are not in 4K so they play correctly.
You need to use a player that does it automatically (VLC), or find the correct mpv options for your operating system.
mpv --autofit file.mpg
