There is a new Kickstarter for “WatchAir” which is a lot like a hdhomerun but with an included antenna. It only has one tuner though and only works for ota broadcasts. It is nice that it has built in storage which is similar to tablo.
Anyways, they have a video walk through of the app that will accompany their product when/if it ships in October. I like how it has the different rows with large images showing the content that is live and upcoming. Pretty clean and organizes recorded shows by category. The interface looks a little much if you have a lot of recordings or would be empty if you just don’t record news or sports since those have dedicated tabs.
Can’t wait to see what you guys dream up and hopefully you can beat them to the market with your DVR solution! Their $250 retail price I think is a bit high and I’m happy with my hdhomerun for $80. Just can’t wait for the channels DVR to arrive!
