The weather channel isn't working anymore with my Directv log in. I get an error message with the https address followed by 400 Bad Request.
Not working here either some akamaihd error
Looks like it’s going to be out of commission for a while. Once they finish their work the Devs will likely have to update the DVR to work with the changes.

That coming soon page has been up for over a year now all the while channels had a live stream. It's nothing new at all.
Well the weather channel has been fixed. Whatever the problem was it's working again.

I got a response back from them using the send them an email page i found. not usefull
"We appreciate you contacting our support. We have found no issues with The Weather Channel Live TV feed. We suggest contacting your Cable TV provider for support".
So I guess that means it will remain down as no one is working to fix it. It appears that everyone thinks it’s somebody else’s problem.
What's that link for? So it plays a stream...if that is the fix a url change than it should be put in channels no?
That's an official stream link, even though I'm not sure it's actually accessible via the official TVE page. If you can't wait for the The Weather Channel's devs, I'd just add that link as a custom channel for now.

I thought you could only get access to that channel via a cable tv provider subscription, and most often in a mid range or higher tier package.
Or other wise from a IPTV service.
And yes, can confirm, the channel is working again.
When Channels first started TVE, the stream was free. Don't think it is anymore
Yes, TVE streams are only supposed to be accessible to subscribers but some TVE streams aren't as protected as others and people sniff out the URLs. The URL could change at any time or become protected.
