WebV2: Playlists Controls

Description of issue:

This request appears to be fixed iv V2:

However, there are a couple of more things needed:

I expected:

  1. Being able to have a select all button and not have to pick hundreds of individual episodes/videos.
  2. Being able to play movies/episodes/videos directly from the playlist and have functional parity with the clients. Maybe a pop-up of the watch module?

What actually happened:

  1. Have to go one-by-one, very slowly...
  2. Clicking a movies brings you to the movie's page. Clicking an episode just brings you to the show page, and just the generic landing of that show, not directly to the episode. You can't click a video at all.

EDIT: I do see I can go to shows/video groups, select all, and add to a playlist that way. This is good, too, and can be an okay work-around, but would still prefer to be able to do it from the Playlist area directly, especially if I'm using unique filtering to get what I want.

  1. We'll look into adding multi select.
  2. Remember that this isn't exactly a client, so things like this aren't always available. I can look at adding it, but this is a web admin, not a client.

Can you describe what actions you want to perform on multiple items if you could mutliselect them? What other than, remove, are you expecting to perform?

Right here:

I can select individual anything, but I want a select all for what I've filtered to.

Wait I thought you were talking about the Playlist page.

You can’t select all in that modal as it is virtualized and inline paginated.

No, this is where I'd like to be able to select all (or at least select visible), during the search process.

All the select boxes in V2 support selecting ranges by holding shift.

Click the first, hold shift, click the next, and it will select everything in between.

Interesting... that does work fine elsewhere I tried, but sadly doesn't work in Add Content on Playlists.

Ahhh, it's actually a different interaction because that picker shows that items are part of the content already.

I'll think on all this. But there's always just using the Library.
