Hey folks,
I recorded the pats miami game yesterday. I was using ah4c . The tuning process worked flawlessly as far as i could tell. The game was 3.5hr and i had a 15 min pad before and 30min pad afterwards in the pass. I was watching the in progress recording, and also jumping to the live game.
Ive done this many times and it always works for sporting events.
For some reason this recording from yesterday has a false 10hr pad at the beginning of the show, so the timeline where the actual program material is shrunk. However , the recording and commercial detection are fine and i can fake a commercial skip to the beginning of the mini timline on the right in the screenshot and watch the game fine.
I tried reprocessing the file and fixing timestamps. I also tried loading the file right from the channels directory into vlc and quicktime. Those programs couldn’t open the file so something went wrong
Any clues?
It looks like ffmpeg was having lots of issues with that file id of 13540.
I was running beta prerelease version: 2026.10.28.2140
Several other recordings from yesterday were flawless, ran enhanced commercial detection, which has been working very well for me @eric for about 3 weeks since onboarding enhnaced detection. I really like it. Could this weird padding issue be related to the new detection process?
Thanks to all in advance.
Edit:
Also just submitted diagnostics from the W2 Ui interface.
