What does Clear Disk Cache do?

I'm using an Apple Tv 4k 32Gb client with my Channels Dvr. I'm wondering what this does under: Settings > Support > "Clear Disk Cache"?

What does it clear, and should it be done every so often?

NOBODY can answer this? Somebody must have tried it, what happened when you did?

Cache files are there to speed things up in software. While Channels manages it for you, so that you don't have to, this option lets you clear out the storage it is using manually if there's some sort of problem.

This is not an option you need to really worry about. This is why it's under Support.
