What happens to Remote Access when ISP changes my public IP

I have remote access enabled and port forwarding set up for a relative to access my Channels DVR using the Apple TV 4K from her house. All is working well.

What happens if and when my ISP changes my public IP since I don't have a static IP established with the ISP. It has been very stable, but I am trying to figure out what actions I need to take if and when that happens.

  1. Is the authentication for her Apple TV 4K updated by the ChannelsDVR server automatically?
  2. Do I have to restart the ChannelsDVR server to trigger such an event?
    or
  3. Do I have to go to her place and perform a new authentication?

Channels DVR Server checks its authorization status (your subscription) every 4 hours or so. When it checks in to do this, it reports up your IP address. We manage dynamic DNS resolution for you.

If you're ever in a situation where you're inside that window and the IP address is different, you can turn off Remote Streaming, and turn it back on. This will force a report of your IP address up.

Thank you very much!!

The answer to this post would be a nice addition to this Channels Support - Stream Remotely page.
