When I reboot my tuner it takes hours to reconnect

When I reboot my tuner I can use the HDHomeRun prime app to watch it immediately after. Channels DVR takes so long to see the tuner I just check it the next day. Any suggestions?

What happens when you try to watch or record after rebooting the hdhomerun?

Is the IP of your hdhomerun changing? (We suggest a dhcp reservation on the router).

In the dvr web UI you can click Scan Network above the list of hdhomeruns.

it says "tuner not found" (i forget the verbiage but basically that's what it means) or it spins the loading wheel.

It is reserved and unchanging.

Yes but it does see it it's just when I try to play from it it says not found.

Please click Submit Diagnostics in the app after this happens and post here when the logs have uploaded.

done. the verbiage is "tuner not found" with the yellow warning triangle.

Thanks for the logs.

In the app on the settings tab, is the correct IP listed under your HDHR?

On the DVR web UI, is the correct IP listed under the HDHR there?

it's wrong in the app but not the web interface. It looks like I can't edit it and need to delete the "source" and add it again by IP? I DHCP reserved it while it wasn't working, a few hours ago, and made sure to update the web interface but forgot about the app. I think I assumed the server would update all the clients.

Try force quit the app by tapping home twice and swiping up. Does the correct IP appear after starting the app again?

fixed it. correct ip and I can view the tuner/channels

Great.

We found a bug in the app where it doesn't notice if your HDHR IP updates. Will be fixed in the next beta build via TestFlight.

thanks for the quick support.
